Latar Belakang: Untuk memenuhi kinerja perawat dalam
melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan yang bermutu tinggi,
diperlukan tenaga perawat dengan latar belakang D-III
keperawatan keatas. Jumlah dan kualifikasi tenaga perawat
yang ada di RSU Tual belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan
dimaksud, karena perawat yang bertugas di ruang rawat inap
terdiri dari D-III keperawatan 17 orang (30,91%) dan SPK 33
orang (69,09%). Penerapan asuhan keperawatan di RSU Tual
masih menggunakan metode fungsional yang kurang relevan
dengan model praktek keperawatan profesional disebabkan
karena faktor ketenagaan serta fasilitas keperawatan belum
memadai. Pelatihan asuhan keperawatan yang telah diikuti
oleh perawat dengan latar belakang SPK yang diselenggarakan
oleh program studi keperawatan Tual bekerjasama dengan RSU
Tual, RS misi dan puskesmas-puskesmas di kota Tual pada
tahun 2001 diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan perawat
dalam pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan dan pendokumentasian
keperawatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
dampak pelatihan askep terhadap pelaksanaan askep dan
pendokumentasian keperawatan di RSU Tual.
Cara Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi
eksperimen dengan rancangan pre dan post tanpa kontrol.
Subyek penelitian adalah perawat dengan latar belakang SPK
yang bertugas di ruang rawat inap yang pernah mengikuti
pelatihan asuhan keperawatan sebanyak 33 orang. Variabel
penelitian mencakup variabel bebas adalah pelatihan asuhan
keperawatan dan variabel terikat adalah kinerja perawat
dalam pelaksanaan askep dan pendokumentasian keperawatan.
Alat penelitian yang digunakan adalah check list, panduan
wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data secara deskriptif dan
analitik dengan menggunakan uji statistik t test dan chi


square.
Hasil : Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada
peningkatan pengetahuan perawat terhadap askep dan
pendokumentasian keperawatan serta ada peningkatan kinerja
perawat dalam melaksanakan askep dan pendokumentasian
keperawatan di ruang rawat inap RSU TUal. Analisis statistik
dengan chi square menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan askep
mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna terhadap pelaksanaan askep
(p<0,05) dan terhadap pendokumentasian keperawatan (p<0,05)
yang dilaksanakan oleh perawat SPK di ruang rawat inap RSU
Tual.
Kesimpulan : Pelatihan Askep berdampak terhadap peningkatan
kinerja perawat dengan latar belakang SPK terhadap
pelaksanaan askep dan pendokumentasian keperawatan di ruang
rawat inap RSU Tual.

ABSTRACT
Bacground: To fullfil nursing performance in high guality of
nursing care needed nursing staff with D-III Nursing Program
or more. The existing of nursing staff both amount and
qualification in Tual General Hospital not yet fullfil the
such requirement, cause of the nursing staff in in-patient
department were 17 nurses (30,91%) from D-III nursing and 33
staff (69,09%) from SPK. The applying of nursing care in Tual
General Hospital using functional method not relevant with
professional nursing practice model cause of staff factors and
nursing facilities not yet adequate. Nursing care training
which have been followed by nurse with SPK background which
carried out by Nursing Program of Tual collaboration with Tual
General Hospital, mission hospital and public health centers
in Tual in 2001 expected can improve the nurse ability in
nursing care and nursing documentation. This study was aimed
at finding out the impact of nursing care training to carrying
out of nursing care and nursing documentation.
Methods: This was quasi-experimental study with pre and post
design without control. The subject were nurse with SPK
background in in-patient department which have followed the
nursing care training was 33 staff. The independent variable
was nursing care training and dependent variable was nursing
ability and skilled in nursing domumentation. The data
analysis descriptively and statistical test with t-test and
chi square.
Results: The result showed that there were increasing
knowledge to nursing care and nursing documentation and also
increasing nursing performance in carried out of care and
nursing documentation in in-patient department of Tual General
Hospital. Statistical analysis with chi-square showed that
nursing care training have significant relation to nursing
care (p<0,05) and to nursing documentation (p<0,05) was
carried out by nurse SPK in in-patient department of Tual
General Hospital.
Conclusion: Nursing care training affect to improve of nursing
performance with SPK background to carried and nursing
documentation in in-patient department of Tual General
Hospital.
